Explore the Appalachian Trail, America's most iconic long-distance hiking path! Stretching over 2,000 miles through the scenic, wild, and culturally rich lands of the Appalachian Mountains, the trail offers a journey through forests, valleys, and breathtaking landscapes. In 1948, after a remarkable journey of five million steps across fourteen states for over two thousand miles, a brave hiker became the first to complete the entire Appalachian Trail in one continuous trek.
